From one bench to another, winemaker Bradley Cooper sourced these grapes off the Black Sage Bench in Oliver, British Columbia, and took them back to the Penticton winery on the Naramata Bench. The helping of Muscat Ottonel (8%) proved to be a generous addition by adding a bit of muskiness to the nose of fresh-cut Granny Smith apple, lemongrass, beeswax and twist of lemon. Flavors of lime, kiwi fruit and more lemongrass make for a brisk drink that’s packaged with lime peel and finished plenty dry enough for mussels, scallops or clam chowder.
