Second-generation vintner Alex Sokol Blosser sources this Pinot Noir from his family’s plantings, in Jory soil, that were not much more than a decade old. It’s definitely Dundee Hills with its high-toned red fruit aromas and flavors of red currant, raspberry and cranberry. French oak for 16 months shows up with notes of chocolate, cinnamon and caramel. There’s richness on the entry through the finish of dark cherry and moist earth, backed by modest tannins, crushed herbs and a gradual build up of acidity. Suggested pairings include ahi tuna, duck, game, lamb, pork, salmon and stuffed mushrooms.
