Three Rivers Winery 2014 Riesling, Columbia Valley, $15
Best Buy! Bacchus Vineyard, one of the oldest vineyards in the Pacific Northwest, set the table in early September for Walla Walla’s Holly Turner, who recently released one of the region’s tastiest off-dry and affordable Rieslings. Aromas of Granny Smith apple, Key Lime pie and Wrigley’s Spearmint Gum lead to bright flavors of Honeycrisp apple, mint and more sweet lime. There’s a pleasing zip of lemon juice to balance the residual sugar (2%), making this a nicely done sweeter Riesling.
