“The Wild Angels” behind Armstrong Family Winery are Audrey and Emily – the daughters of winemaker Tim Armstrong. He’s created an unoaked and slightly off-dry 50/50 blend of Chardonnay with Viognier, which traditionally has come off acclaimed Dineen Vineyard in the Rattlesnake Hills. Aromas of fruit cocktail with lychee and lemon include a dusting of minerality. Inside, it leads with the orange Creamsicle that screams Viognier, backed by pineapple, melon and a cleansing burst of citrus and pith.
