Bergevin Lane 2010 Dreamweaver Stone Tree Vineyard Malbec, Wahluke Slope, $28
By Great Northwest Wine on March 25, 2013
This well-established Walla Walla Valley winery reached into the warm Wahluke Slope and one of the state’s top vineyards to acquire the grapes for this delicious example of Washington Malbec. It leads with aromas of black cherry, tar and dark chocolate, followed by a burst of flavor on the palate that leads with boysenberry and Montmorency cherry. Rich flavors meld with moderate tannins for a wine with good intensity without being overwhelming.
