Kyra Wines 2010 Purple Sage Vineyard Dolcetto, Wahluke Slope, $18
By Great Northwest Wine on March 31, 2013
Kyra Baerlocher’s estate vineyard helps her produce some of the state’s most imaginative, bright and food-friend wines at approachable prices. Her work at her Moses Lake facility with this Italian variety offers aromas of purple fruit such as boysenberry and blueberry along Orange Slice candy and fresh-cut ginger. It’s deliciously approachable with that same fruit, light chocolate, a pinch of chalkiness and juniper berries in the finish. Serve with Duck Confit.
