Helix by Reininger 2008 StoneTree SoRhô, Columbia Valley, $33
By Great Northwest Wine on April 7, 2013
Winemaker Chuck Reininger included Mourvèdre (42%), Grenache (31%) and Cinsault from StoneTree Vineyard on the warm Wahluke Slope for this Southern Rhône style of red blend. It opens with aromas of ripe plum, nutmeg, black olive and red cherry, followed by juicy, hedonistic flavors of pomegranate and red cherry, all backed with lively acidity and moderate tannins.
