Youngberg Hill Vineyards 2009 Natasha Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, $40
By Great Northwest Wine on April 17, 2013
High above the Willamette Valley floor in the McMinnville AVA is one of the most beautiful locations in photogenic western Oregon. Youngberg Hill includes a winery, vineyard and inn. It is the prototype for wine country living. This Pinot Noir from the winery’s Natasha Block – a 6.6-acre section of Pinot Noir, opens with aromas of blueberry, cherry, Bing cherry and a hint of gaminess. On the palate, it offers flavors of plush black cherry and red plum backed with assertive tannins. It should pair well with pork tenderloin or grilled salmon.
