Owner/winemaker David Volmut blended a bit of Cabernet Sauvignon and Dolcetto to add complexity to this Italian-style red. It opens with aromas of black cherry, pomegranate and caramel, followed by flavors of boysenberry, cherry and coffee. This won a unanimous double gold at this year’s Finger Lakes International Wine Competition.
