By Great Northwest Wine on May 28, 2013
Prosser, Wash., winemaker Gord Taylor used grapes from Upland (Snipes Mountain), Zephyr Ridge (Horse Heaven Hills), Double Canyon (Horse Heaven Hills and Far Away (Yakima Valley) to craft this delicious red blend that is primarily Syrah and Petite Sirah. It opens with aromas of cherry jam, cocoa powder, black licorice and roasted meat. On the palate, it provides pleasing, balanced flavors of black cherry, sarsaparilla and some light oak notes. It’s smooth and elegant with an intriguing mouth feel.
