Walla Walla Vintners 2010 Merlot, Walla Walla Valley, $28
By Great Northwest Wine on June 4, 2013
This delicious Merlot from one of the Walla Walla Valley’s classic wine producers uses grapes from many vineyards around the valley, including Chan, Dwelley, Pepper Bridge, Seven Hills and Vintners Estate. It includes a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc in the blend. The result is a wine that opens with aromas of roseberry, cherry cotton candy and oak, followed by flavors of black cherry, Marionberry and ripe raspberry. It’s all backed with rich tannins and ample acidity.
