Knight Hill Winery 2010 Rook’s Red, Wahluke Slope, $23
By Great Northwest Wine on June 10, 2013
This delicious red blend comes from an up-and-coming winery in the Rattlesnake Hills region of the Yakima Valley. It offers aromas of cedar, cinnamon, boysenberry and black truffle, followed by flavors of blueberry, black cherry, walnut and earthiness. It is a sturdy red that is nicely balanced between fruit, tannin and acidity. Enjoy with prime rib, pork loin or mushroom risotto.
