Eleven Winery 2010 Sweet Sarah, Washington, $16
By Great Northwest Wine on July 18, 2013
This fortified dessert wine is made by a small winery just a short ferry ride from downtown Seattle. Eleven is on Bainbridge Island and is making a number of superb wines. This sweet sipper opens with aromas of Tootsie Roll, dried orange peel, cardamom and black licorice. On the palate, it offers flavors of cherry, chocolate-covered orange peel and golden raisin. The alcohol is beautifully integrated.
