Maritime Wines NV Willapa White, Washington, $20
By Great Northwest Wine on July 28, 2013
Westport Winery in Aberdeen, Wash., launched a new line earlier this year for Nelson Crab Inc., in nearby Tokeland and this off-dry blend of Pinot Gris (60%) from Airport Ranches in the Yakima Valley and Riesling should pair with fare at the historic seafood market. The profile is off-dry with tones of white peach, apricot, pear, orange sherbet and baking spices. Look for this label — created by regional artist Wally Mann — at the winery, the third-generation Willapa Bay market and Fred Meyer in Tumwater.
