Cinder Wines 2011 Chardonnay, Snake River Valley, $18
By Great Northwest Wine on August 4, 2013
Melanie Krause, a Washington State University grad and former Chateau Ste. Michelle assistant winemaker, is now one of Idaho’s top winemakers as she and husband Joe Schnerr have created a terrific operation near Boise. This Chardonnay opens with aromas of toasted coconut and buttered popcorn, followed by flavors of baked peach and tropical fruit.
