Alexandria Nicole Cellars 2012 Affinity Albariño, Columbia Valley, $20
By Great Northwest Wine on August 6, 2013
Albariño is a Spanish variety that is just starting to get a foothold in the Pacific Northwest. This example from ANC is a new wine for the Prosser, Wash., winery, and it is pretty tasty. It opens with aromas of baked apple drizzled with caramel, followed by flavors of lime and green apple. It’s all backed with bright acidity, and it’s easy to imagine enjoying this with crab dip.
