Ryan Patrick Vineyards 2011 Ryan’s Riesling, Columbia Valley, $10
By Great Northwest Wine on August 13, 2013
Best Buy! Jeremy Santo of Wahluke Wine Co., makes the wine for the Flanagan family, and this off-dry Riesling continues to pick up honors. The nose flashes hints of white peach, apricot, baked apple and slate, setting the stage for a nearly seamless transition. There’s a thin trail of pie cherry juice and orange acidity to balance the residual sugar of 2.4%. It’s widely distributed but is readily available at their Leavenworth, Wash., tasting room below Visconti’s.
Rating: Excellent
Production: 2,000 cases
