By Great Northwest Wine on October 13, 2013
This member of the Woodinville Warehouse District is scheduled to take its wines on the road to pour at the Mount Rainier Fall Wine Festival on Nov. 2, and folks in fleece would be wise to seek out Brad Sherman’s Mourvédre off Kiona Vineyard. The nose is filled with black cherry, raspberry and blackberry with hints of Big Hunk nougat, chalkboard dust and cedar. It is a mouth-filling drink of Marionberry and black cherry, backed by a balanced structure of golden raspberry acidity and firm tannins. A pinch of black pepper adds to the nice farewell. The 2008 edition of this wine received a Platinum from Wine Press Northwest last year.
