Patterson Cellars 2012 Late Harvest Roussanne, Columbia Valley, $22

By on October 25, 2013

Patterson Cellars 2012 Late Harvest RoussanneJohn Patterson’s sweet work with this white Rhône variety from Willard Farms in Prosser, Wash., continues to produce results as golden as the wine he makes in Woodinville. The effusive nose brings baked peach, pear, pineapple, apricot jam and honey aromas. There’s complete honesty on the palate as the flavors line up. It carries the viscous texture of an ice wine with the clove spice and acidity to balance the residual sugar of 20.5%.

Rating: Outstanding!

Production: 850 cases

Alcohol: 12.5%
