John Patterson’s sweet work with this white Rhône variety from Willard Farms in Prosser, Wash., continues to produce results as golden as the wine he makes in Woodinville. The effusive nose brings baked peach, pear, pineapple, apricot jam and honey aromas. There’s complete honesty on the palate as the flavors line up. It carries the viscous texture of an ice wine with the clove spice and acidity to balance the residual sugar of 20.5%.
