The Williams family pioneered Red Mountain, planting its first vines on the bench in the eastern Yakima Valley in 1975. Today, second-generation winemaker Scott Williams continues the tradition of excellence with an array of wines. This is his finest effort and comes from those 1975 vines his visionary father planted. It is magnificent from first whiff, with aromas of violet, lavender, raspberry, cherry pipe tobacco and caramel. On the palate, it reveals rich, creamy flavors of black raspberry and cherry, as well as hints of crushed walnut. It’s all backed with fine-grained tannins that provide an amazing mouth feel. This is a classic Red Mountain Cab.
