Most of the grapes made at this East Wenatchee, Wash., winery come from vines surrounding their grounds that overlook the Columbia River, but this lot traditionally comes downstream from Rosebud Vineyard near Mattawa. One of the state’s first organically farmed sites helps create aromas of grapefruit, lemon, canned pear, dried apricot, anise and sweet herbs. The flavors focus on Bartlett pears in a medium syrup and baked apple. It’s off-dry at 1.2% residual sugar, but there’s ample acidity.
