Two acres of fifth-leaf Dijon clone 95 and 76 fruit made for the second harvest of this barrel-free Chardonnay. Lively aromas bring thoughts of apricot, lime, jasmine, SweeTart candy and minerality. Its bright entry to the palate brings flavors Bartlett pear and melon, along with more apricot and pleasing minerality. The racy acidity is capped by lemon pith bitterness that should play nicely with the Nicholases’ suggestions of brie, corn chowder, Dungeness crab, scallops, stir fry or quiche.
