Lake Chelan winemaker Katy Perry takes Barbera (70%) from this Lake Osoyoos property and blends it with Sangiovese (20%) and Cabernet Franc for a stunning development that focuses on Italian varieties that are far from wallflowers. It opens with oak tones of cinnamon, vanilla and maple syrup, followed by blackberry, pie cherry and orange peel. The drink starts bold, leading with black cherry and boysenberry, then it gives way to plushness on the midpalate and silkiness on the finish with dark plummy fruit and a touch of cocoa powder. Appreciation grows with each tilt of the glass.
