Grandpa Vernon Rhodes made a mean chocolate chip cookie, and the Wisconsin boys maintain his legacy with this special Cab from three of the state’s top sources for Cabernet Sauvignon — Birch Creek and Minnick Hills in the Walla Walla Valley and renowned StoneTree on the Wahluke Slope. The spicy nose comes with black cherry, pomegranate, toffee, rose hips, cedar and chocolate. There’s a punch of pomegranate and jab of cherry on the pour, which produces a rough and tumble structure with enough fruit and bittersweet chocolate to fight to the finish.
