Malaga Springs Winery 2012 Sangiovese Rosé, Washington, $17
By Great Northwest Wine on December 20, 2013
Here’s a delightful and fun off-dry rosé from a tiny Wenatchee Valley winery that serves as yet another example of why this Italian variety helps create delicious pink wines in the Pacific Northwest. The nose comes with hints of pomegranate, white strawberry, Rainier cherry and clove. Inside are pretty flavors of cherry, vanilla and strawberry jam that come with a constant flow of pomegranate and tangerine acidity to balance the residual sugar of 1%. This would be worthy of serving with Christmas turkey.
