Alder Ridge Vineyard provided all the Merlot (57%), Cabernet Sauvignon (26%) and Cabernet Franc for this quaffable wine that comes well-structured for easy and ready drinking. Dusty cherry aromas pick up hints of watermelon, red plum and rhubarb with a whiff of oak. Rich plums keep pushing on the palate with balanced flavors of red currant and Rainier cherry. There’s bracing acidity, while the tannins are in the back.
