Rhône varieties dominate this clean and gentle rose, leading with Mourvèdre (39%) and Syrah (30%), but Puget Sound winemaker Matt Albee included Malbec (26%) to help with color and body. It comes with a nose of pomegranate, plum, strawberry and cherry while carrying notes of rose hips and BBQ spices. Cherry and strawberry flavors step to the front on the flavorful palate, backed by president plum juice and plum skin tannin. Albee suggests serving his pink with salmon, and these wines are available at Albee’s tasting rooms on Bainbridge Island and in Poulsbo.
