By Great Northwest Wine on January 26, 2014
Washington State University product Dana Roberts is venturing beyond the “Washington” appellation and focusing on specific American Viticultural Areas with the family wine program. His work with this lot from south of Prosser in the Horse Heaven Hills reveals aromas of boysenberry jam, dark plum, blackberry and allspice. Inside, it’s loaded with flavors of more boysenberry, blackberry and plums. A pleasant juiciness that lingers from the midpalate on back makes this quite an easy drink. A portion of its sales are donated to South Beach Emergency Medical Services.
