Dusted Valley Vintners 2011 Wallywood, Columbia Valley, $42
By Great Northwest Wine on February 11, 2014
From Walla Walla to Woodinville, the boys at Dusted Valley Vintners give you Wallywood, their red Rhône assemblage of Syrah (50%), Mourvèdre (40%) and Petite Sirah using StoneTree Vineyard on the Wahluke Slope and the young Red Heaven on Red Mountain. It’s deep, dark, purple and juicy with plums, blackberries, pomegranate, dark chocolate and black licorice from first whiff to last sip. Ask your favorite wine merchant for this because this edition has been slurped up from the winery’s tasting rooms on both sides of the state.
