Best Buy! This vintage marks E&J Gallo’s entry in the Washington state industry, and this Merlot is one of the three affordable red wines the California giant has focused on with the historic Woodinville brand. Its aromatic profile shows freshness with red-toned fruit of cherry and cranberry backed by accents of blueberry, cotton candy and Brach’s butter rum Royals. On the sumptuous palate, it leads with cherry, followed by red currant and plum in an easy-going and lengthy structure. Suggested fare includes tenderloin medallions drizzled with a wild huckleberry glaze.
