small-house-winery-sangiovese-2011-bottleLast fall, Patrick Werry and Jon Harding released their first wines from their winery in the year-round recreation and arts community of Sandpoint, Idaho. This version of this Italian variety is brimming with bright red tones of cherry, strawberry, cherry tomato and rose petal. That is supported on the palate with a bright and fresh entry of cherry and red currant flavors backed with cherry-skin tannins and mouthwatering acidity akin to a cherry SweeTart. These wines are available at shops and restaurants in Spokane and the Idaho Panhandle.

Rating: Excellent

Production: 50 cases
