Elevation Cellars 2012 Imperium Riesling, Columbia Valley, $17
By Great Northwest Wine on February 27, 2014
Lawrence Vineyards in the Frenchman Hills region of Washington’s Columbia Valley serves as the source of Riesling for Woodinville winemaker Steven Stuart, and he turned this into an easy stroll through a central Washington orchard. It’s a bushel of pear and Golden Delicious apple aromas and flavors that’s luscious on the palate with 1.6% residual sugar. Bright acidity keeps it flowing. It received a bronze medal from the Seattle Wine & Food Experience Wine Competition.
