Best Buy! Yakima Valley winemaker Juergen Grieb continues shine with his bubbles, which have been served at the White House. This is one of the most widely produced bottlings from his scenic Wapato winery, and the nose-tickling aromas begin with honeydew melon, kiwi fruit, apple, apricot, green banana and lemon. There’s beautiful mouth feel with its full mousse, which delivers Asian pear, yellow grapefruit and Gala apple flavors. The dosage lists the residual sugar 1.2%, yet it’s acid-driven, dry and lengthy. It earned a gold medal at the Seattle Wine and Food Experience Wine Competition, and is priced for everyday enjoyment.
