Oak Knoll Winery 2011 Semi-Sweet Riesling, Oregon, $10
By Great Northwest Wine on March 11, 2014
Best Buy! This second-generation winery began working with Riesling in 1975, which gave it the confidence in this cool vintage to hold off on bringing in this fruit until early November. There are fascinating aromas of rosewater, Granny Smith apple, lime, maraschino cherry and minerality, which are followed by sweet lime, pear, peach and more rosewater. A hint of orange helps to balance the residual sugar of 3%.
Rating: Excellent
