While the concept for this brand had been on the drawing board at Gordon Estate for years, the true nexus for this high-end blend of Malbec (60%), Syrah (35%) and Merlot stems from a blending session winemaker Tim Henley staged for guests at their winery overlooking the Snake River in the summer of 2011. The family enjoyed the resulting wine so much, they bottled it that winter. Its focus is on food-friendly, high-toned red fruit from start to finish, including notes of crushed herbs, white pepper and ground savory.
