By Great Northwest Wine on March 22, 2014
Red wines from Red Mountain are synonymous with power, and this massive Cab fits Woodinville winemaker Jean-Claude Beck’s motto of “No boring wines!” It spent 22 months in 100% new French oak, and that set the table for a pouring of bittersweet chocolate, black cherry, black plum, vanilla bean and Earl Grey tea. If you embrace the tannins of burly Petite Sirah, you won’t be disappointed with this. We may enjoy it now with a well-marbled T-bone, but there’s plenty of life ahead in the cellar.
