Longtime winemaker John Gabriel helped set the standard for this Iberian variety in Washington state during his time at this Prosser winery. The nose carries hints of fresh lemon, grapefruit, honeydew melon, pear and minerality, a character often found in wines from the Horse Heaven Hills. What awaits are gorgeous flavors of Bartlett pear, Gala apple and yellow grapefruit. Tremendous acidity is tempered nicely by residual sweetness, which allows for a finish of white peach and fresh-shaved coconut. It received a gold medal and recently was voted as best of show at the 2014 Capital Food and Wine Festival Wine Competition.
