Celebrating a sunny day in the Yakima Valley with a flute of pink bubbles and a view of Mount Adams is one of the fun features that the Grieb family offer at their handsome venue just south of Union Gap. Their creation of Chardonnay with Syrah from near Red Mountain tickles the nose with dried strawberry, fresh-baked bread and candy corn. Inside is a mild mousse backed by bright flavors of strawberry and canned cherries in a light syrup. The finish of cranberry easily brushes aside the 2% residual sugar in a tasty fashion. It picked up a silver medal at the 2014 Seattle Wine & Food Experience Wine Competition.
