The Woodhouse Wine Estates works with five brands under winemaker Jean Claude Beck, whose family traces its history in the French wine industry to 1759. This line is named for the proprietors’ daughter, and the Meritage-style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (53%), Petit Verdot (28%), Merlot (16%) and Cabernet Franc from Roza Ridge Vineyard shows signs of a French oak program that features 65% new barrels. That fills the nose with Whoppers, black cherry and sandalwood, and the flavors follow with luscious notes of black cherry, pomegranate, plum skin tannins and more chocolate. It received a silver medal at the 2014 Seattle Wine & Food Experience Wine Competition.
