Vashon Island winemakers George and Linda Kirkish have established relationships with a number of longtime growers in Washington’s Columbia Valley. They rely on the the Claar-Whitelach family and their historic White Bluffs Vineyard for Riesling, which carries aromas of peach, honeysuckle, rosewater, apple blossom and caramel. On the palate are flavors of orchard fruit such as pear and apple, backed by more rosewater and some late minerality to go with the mild acidity.
