Large-scale examples of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir such as this one by Adam Campbell continue to brand Oregon throughout the continent. And there’s a strong sense of pride inside this production because it relies on all five of the family vineyards, some nearly 40 years in age. Its deep and brilliant color is stunning, and there’s a constant theme of dusty black cherry and raspberry both in the aromas and flavors. There’s a silky, Syrah-like structure to the midpalate as the tannins slowly build with a pinch of moist earth and pepper in the background.
