One of Spokane’s first winemakers, Mountain Dome founder Michael Manz, looked after the winemaking for this ownership group until his passing in 2006. The group includes his brother, John Mueller, who has taken over the winemaking. They’ve stayed true to their program all along, which focuses on Bordeaux varieties from two of the Walla Walla Valley’s most acclaimed vineyards and a French oak barrel program. Sweet and toasted oak aromas are joined by black cherry, blackberry, cola and moist earth. The palate brings flavors of boysenberry, blackberry and cocoa powder presented in a pleasant structure.
