Best Buy! Greg and Jack Jones in Quincy, Wash., rank as one of the state’s largest wine operations, and they’ve got one of region’s most talented winemakers in Victor Palencia heading up their own value-conscious brand. They took this lot from their estate Caliche Lake Vineyard and fermented it in Hungarian oak puncheons to create a clean, green and mean Sauvignon Blanc that opens with a nose of gooseberry, lemon curd, candy corn and fresh-cut grass. It’s lime juice and lime pith on the palate with notes of lemongrass and fresh mint in the dry finish. Here is an ideal oyster wine that’s sold in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana.
