The Padgetts are well into their second decade of producing eclectic, toothsome and downright fun dessert wines from the Yakima Valley. Their Port-style with coffee is an annual favorite, and the experience starts with aromas of roasted Kona coffee beans, vanilla, coconut, maple syrup and filbert gelato. They all come through on the palate, which is rich and tasty. It’s quite tasty and definitely fires on the sweet side (15% residual sugar), while the finish of butterscotch packs some heat as an after-dinner reward.
