L’Ecole No. 41 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon, Columbia Valley, $31
By Great Northwest Wine on June 14, 2014
A cool vintage by Washington standards made for many food-friendly, ageworthy examples of Cabernet Sauvignon, and here’s a solid example. Aromas of Bing cherry, red currant, Dr Pepper, coffee and leaf tobacco are followed by flavors that continue red-toned fruit. The medium structure carries fine-grained tannins, more tobacco and a finish of blackberry.
