Best Buy! A second label for Fujishin Family Cellars, the target market for these wines are Sunnyslope tourists and those just beginning their experiences with wine. This nonvintage blend of Viognier (75%) and Riesling is crafted all in stainless steel, and that shows in its fruit-forward tones of Ambrosia salad, baked apple and dried apricot. The sweetness level is along the lines of some late harvest wines with the residual sugar at 3.5%, so serve cold and enjoy on the patio this summer. The Lost West wines are available in the Fujishin tasting room at the historic fruit stand on the Sunnyslope, as well as at the nearby Orchard House Restaurant, the Outback Steakhouse in Nampa and Paul’s Markets in Boise and McCall.
