Kramer Vineyards NV Celebrate! Müller-Thurgau, Yamhill-Carlton, $18
By Great Northwest Wine on June 29, 2014
Second-generation winemaker Kim Kramer continues to expand her family’s sparkling wine program, and these fun bubbles with Müller-Thurgau — created via forced carbonation — hit on pleasure points. Clean and elegant tropical aromas such as lychee nut, passion fruit pick up hints of jasmine blossom, lavender and rosewater. Pulsating mousse allows for flavors of peach, ripe pear, the return of rosewater and lavender lemonade amid ample acidity to balance the residual sugar of 1.5%. Those who enjoy sparkling Muscat will cheer this.
