Marty Clubb and winemaker Mike Sharon continue to use these grapes for their Perigee project, but they continue to grow production for this vineyard-designate wine. Enticing aromas of crushed herbs, red currant and blueberry gather up hints of coconut, chalkboard dust and menthol. It’s a gorgegous entry of black cherry and taut tannins as black currants, pomegranate acidity and chocolate keep everything together. As usual, club members of the schoolhouse winery grabbed all of this from the tasting room, so your best bet now is a well-connected wine merchant.
