Thurston Wolfe 2013 Albariño, Yakima Valley, $18
By Great Northwest Wine on July 14, 2014
Wine Press Northwest’s 2012 Pacific Northwest Winery of the Year shines with food-friendly whites, and Wade Wolfe’s first effort with this Iberian variety from nearby Crawford Vineyard in Prosser continues that tradition. Lovely florals include apple, tangerine, rosewater and rose petal. Those transition to bright and delicious flavors of Asian pear, apple, lavender and elderflower, backed by lingering lime acidity.
