The tiny and modest winery in Walla Walla continues its string of success with this barrel of Petit Verdot, typically a blending variety from Bordeaux. Les Collines Vineyard makes for aromas of dark plum, blackberry, Marionberry, toasted filberts, baking spices, plus a twist of lime peel. There’s enjoyable power delivered as blackberry and plum flavors are surrounded by chocolaty tannins. It’s gone on to win a gold medal at the 2015 Pacific Rim International Wine Competition.
